Scott, founder and president of Katsura Landscaping, is also the installation division manager. Scott completed the Capilano University Landscape Horticulture program in 2006, is a certified landscape professional (CLP) and has an additional 14 year’s experience in the landscaping industry. He started the company in 2006. He loves living on the North Shore.


Alex is the maintenance division manager. He attended the Capilano University Landscape Horticulture program in 2007 and is a certified landscape horticulturist. Alex brings to Katsura 14 years of landscape industry experience, lots of enthusiasm, reliability and attention to detail. He has been with the company since 2008. Previously he had his own landscape maintenance business.



Karen Grannary has been with Katsura Landscaping for over 6 years, an accountant for more than 30 years having studied Business Administration at McGill University and CGA at Ryerson in Toronto. Karen has many years’ experience in the corporate world and enjoys being part of the Katsura team. You can often see Karen paddling on the water with her Dragon Boat Team.



Vera’s expertise is to help you navigate the many options that could be used in your design and determine the style, materials and practical elements that combine to meet your wants and needs.  The finished Landscape plan illustrates for all the desired end result with enough detail to achieve those results. She has been a landscape designer / architect for over 20 years and has an extensive knowledge of hardscape and softscape features and a creative eye for design layouts.



Ann is proficient at installing all hardscape features, and especially enjoys pavers and rock work. She is in the process of becoming a certified landscape technician, having completed most of the required hand on and written testing as set out by the Canada Landscape Nursery Association. She has also completed a permaculture design course at Gaia College, and specific training for water features, artificial turf installation and skid steer operation. She enjoys the weather, beaches, and mountains in Vancouver, having previously lived in Ontario.



Leisha is from Australia. She initially came to Canada to enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and kayaking. She has 13 years landscaping experience, and specializes in garden design, topiary, specialized pruning, hedging, and maintaining lawn and garden maintenance properties. Her achievements include a tv garden show special on her work in Australia. She has a great attention to detail for the gardens she maintains. She enjoys the views, diversity, and activities Vancouver has to offer.



Jess has completed the UBC Landscape Horticulture program and is a certified landscape horticulturist. Jess enjoys working on the North Shore because of the multitude of beautiful gardens.


Farley has completed two years of the Horticultural Landscape Technician Apprenticeship at Kwantlen College.  He enjoys working outside and seeing the results of his work.
